ParaFPI Methodology & Morals

Methodology:

ParaFPI is a scientific based paranormal research group. We approach all investigations with a clear, logical, and open mind. By open we mean that we are searching for the true cause of reported activity, whether that be a normal real world cause or something possibly paranormal. Unlike some other groups, ParaFPI does utilize sensitives to help locate possible paranormal activity. Although we completely trust the sensitives in our group, we do not consider their gifts as evidence in any way. Their gifts are used as tools to aid in our search for hard scientific evidence to prove or disprove paranormal activity. ParaFPI prides ourselves on our ability to relate to our clients in a personal and professional way. Our main pursuit has always been to help those who think they are having problems that are possibly rooted in the paranormal. ParaFPI will never charge for any service we offer, period.

Morals:

ParaFPI does not and will not endorse rumors, hearsay, gossip, slander, or paranormal group 'battles'. This type of activity goes completely against our nature as well as the standards and practices of the TAPS Family organization of which we are a proud member. We are happy to work with and share information with other paranormal research groups around the country. In our opinion, paranormal research is finally being viewed in a serious light and the only way to validate and move the field forward is for groups to work together. If anyone works against that, we simply do not interact with them.

Information for aspiring researchers:

ParaFPI does not endorse nor encourage breaking and entering. If you cannot enter legally, then DO NOT enter! We encourage all investigative teams to receive the proper permissions before entering any property or location. If you don't know how to ask for permission or go about getting permission, then feel free to contact us and ask. We'll be more than happy to help out. We can always try to help you keep it legal.

"Ghost Tourists" - If you are trying to go out and just spook yourself, then have fun but don't expect anyone to take you seriously. Gaining proper permissions, following set protocol in obtaining evidence, analyzing the evidence, again, utilizing strict scientific protocol and procedure, and keeping organized records of your evidence and research is crucial. We do encourage the curious and for-fun types to go on ghost walks, ghost tours, and generally guest along with people.

We don't encourage anyone to read a list of 'haunted' locations and take it as fact. Instead of believing in every urban legend and rumor out there, think of it from a different perspective. Check it out yourself if you can do so safely and legally ... make up your own mind, enjoy the experience, and make each trip something worthwhile full of fresh perspectives and views. ParaFPI makes a point of going through these urban legends and doing in-depth research to see if they carry any validity. We work hard to see what circumstances lead to the birth of legends. We encourage everyone to do the same. Don't even take our word for it!
