I have been a paranormle investigator for 26 years. I had got a call from my mom I answered my phone & she (mom) said I got a friend that is introble with a ghost & a 14 year old daughter. I said ok I will be right over so as I showed up at the residents home. I walked in. And I thought I walked into hell. I walked into the kitchen and the chair west of the table was lifting very violently and slaming back onto the floor. I walked over to the table to set down and try to talk to it as I started to set down the chair slamed back onto the floor and slid tawords me and hit the table. I then started to stand up and I confronted it and started to talk to it. It got a little upset with me. So I backed off and gave it 5 min.'s then nothing happened after that then two day's pasted with on problems. Then the little girl started to act funny. Then would start to get mad for no aparent reson. And every day it would get worse so I asked the parents to take there little girl to the DR.'s to get her checked out. we thought she might have had split personaletys. All reports had come back normal. The next day the little girl got realy bad. She would curse at us hit and atack us violently. Then I had to do a emergency exersisom on the little girl I stade awake for 5 day's untell it was burned out and still did not give up on her. tawords the next day the whole house shook and the little girl was fine she did not know what was going on. So the parents let us give her a lie detector test and we asked her if she remembered anything and passed with flying colors. The whole house stoped smelling like sombody had died in there. And the coldness left but I do not think it is over. Because I got another call from a difrent family. In the same house so I will let all of you know how it go's. Thank you for letting me write my story.

My husband I had been driving all night and decided to stop at this little motel in Leadville, CO. Once we were checked in, we went to our room and got ready for bed. I got really cold while I was sleeping and awoke to find a shadow figure pacing back and forth in our room...thinking it was my imagination, I went back to sleep and was abruptly woken up by my husband who had seen the same thing. While both of us were freaked out, we tried to go back to sleep. All of the sudden, both of us were pushed into the bed and felt a presence go through both of our bodies...I was then almost pulled off the bed by the unfriendly being. My husband I both jumped out of bed and quickly got dressed and ready to leave. While we were collecting our belongings, the spirt turned the water on and off in the bathroom and started banging on the pipes that were in the room...we rushed out of the room while this was continuing to happen and as soon as we closed the door to the room, all of the noise stopped..

In Omaha, NE near Creighton University, there's a fraturnity house that was previously a funeral home. The guys have told me about a loud noise coming from the basement and as they went downstairs to investigate, they opened the door to a room where a band used to play called the Palpultin, and the unbearable noise stops. They checked all outlets, and nothing was plugged in. Suspious, one of the guys put a lock on the door. Clearly, i was eager to investigate. I went downstairs and sure enough when we reached the Palpultin room, one of the guys stopped. The lock was still locked and on the ground and the bolts that held the lock lay near it. The door was open.

This isn't really my story, but my uncle's. It started in Florida. My dad had an RV he was living and when he moved out here, he gave the RV to his younger brother, my uncle. That's when the wierd things started to happen. He'd be gone, off at work or something, and he'd come home and his neighbors would complain about the cupboards being slammed around. Of course, he was the only one who lived in that RV and no one else had any reason to go ito it. He'd come home late at night and the light just outside the door would be on. It happened regularly, but he always said it was just that he had forgotten to turn it off when he left. It got to the point where he would leave himself notes saying "I turned out the light." The light would still be on. Then came the strange happenings when he was at home. He'd be watching TV or cooking and his oxygen tanks for snorkling would start to hiss. Or these hanging lamps in the "living room" would hang sideways. It got to the point where he would just say "Cut it out!" and whatever was happening would stop. Finally, my uncle got really curious about who was haunting his RV. So, he got out a Ouiji (did I spell that right?) board and started playing with it. He asked who was there. The board answered "Lynn". Now, Lynn was his grandfather's name. My uncle also came out to Colorado, and he sold the RV to a couple. They never had any ghostly activity, and when my dad was in the RV, he never experienced anything. As far as I know, my uncle does not have any ghosts haunting him at the present, so I can only guess at what Lynn wanted, since he's obviously gone now.

Once when i was young my brother and i lived in a 2 story house, with really steep, narrow stairs big arch separating the living room and the dining room. Well at that time my mother put up a curtain for the living room and made it a bedroom and the dining room became our living room (we all ate in the kitchen on a counter). BTW our house was surrounded by cornfields and open pastures, our nearest neighbor was around 2 miles away. Anyway i was about 7 years old and my brother around 10 we were in our bedroom up stairs sleeping when we began to hear pots and pans rattling in the kitchen, we were curious so we decided to investigate. When we got down there the noise stopped so we started looking around the kitchen and we checked the doors and windows and found that all were still locked. Then me and my brother looked through the window where the sink was and saw a pair of glowing red eyes coming from a tree so we both ran up to our room and the window from there showed the same eyes in exactly the same place on that window too. We both closed our eyes and tried to go to sleep. Well, my brother was successful in sleeping but i couldn't. When i finally was brave enough to turn from facing the wall i saw one of our oldest pictures (of a steam train at a railroad crossing) come over and land right on my brothers chest. I guess i either fainted or finally slept but when i woke up my brother was still asleep and the picture was hung back up but on a different wall. Since then whenever i sleep in a place that feels like something is there i am able to close my eyes and feel exactly where that something is looking at me from, so i imagine a blue shield (kinda like a blue clear tube surrounding me and am able to sleep until the morning.) If my family still had the house i would have loved it if someone would check it out.

Adrienne in Glenwood Colorado
A couple years ago, my friend held her small b-day party at Hotel Colorado in Glenwood. This hotel has a lot of history, which we found out by a tour given to us by an older lady. My friends and I, semi curious about the 'ghostly' sightings decided to bring some cameras and a video camera. We walked around on the various five levels for hours. Towards the end of our little exploration, we took one last look around the basement area. Down in the basement area, they have closed little cells that were used for drunk men or woman who had become a little bit too wild. I took a few minutes, recording the area with the video camera, before my friends and I turned around. Standing only a few feet away from me and my friends was the friendly security guard, which made us kind of jumpy. We asked him if he had seen anything unusual. He told us about the little girl that appears often in the wing of the hotel that used to be the hospital wing. Seems that she died there. After talking with him for about twenty minutes, we decided to go back to the third level where our room was. I video taped while we made our way up there. We joked around for a while in our room, and eventually laid down. My friends (Sorry, didn't mention this before... there were three others besides me) fell asleep, and as usual, I was the last one up. As a wrapped myself in the covers and got snug, I heard the water in our bathroom turn on. I thought it was strange and looked up to make sure none of my friends had left without me noticing. They all were totally out. I listened for a minute more, and the water eventually turned off. Laying back down, the heater (Most of the rooms in the hotel have the old gas metal heaters) kept turning on and off. I had earlier tried to turn it on, and the knob screeched and made a lot of noise. I heard the same noise now. I was starting to get really freaked out, and sunk deeper into the covers listening still. Again, the water turned on and off. I heard this all night, and didn't sleep too well. And about the video tape.. My friends and I took it home and put it on. It seemed after we had video taped the cell(s), a shadow kept darting through the halls, into the sides of the camera. I wonder if something followed me into the room?

It was about a year after my grandmother had died and we moved in to her house. One night my parents were having a party. I was walking in the hallway to my bedroom and I glanced at my parents bedroom door ( which use to be my grandmas room) and the door closed. So like any other kid i went to look in the room and I felt a hand on my shoulder(the room was starting to get cold) so i got scared and ran out of the room. Thats the only ghost enconter i had in that house since. I think my parents might of seen or had an excpirence with a ghost because we moved out about a year later.

My sister and I have always been interested in ghosts and other phenomena...and recently have both had experiences involving our recently deceased grandmother. We decided to prove to ourselves and other "doubters" that these things do exist and went to the Ann Arbor cemetery near my sister's apartment with a tape recorder (in the daytime) to just walk around and see if we could get any evp. We weren't expecting anything. Fortunately, we already had a tape recorder that my sister uses for her college classes so she opened up a brand new tape and popped it into the recorder and off we went. We walked around the cemetery for about 45 minutes...mostly chatting about the graves. No one else was there except for a gentleman was taking photographs of the older gravestones. I might mention that this cemetery was really old and felt very peaceful as we walked through it. After we were finished, we returned to her apt and rewound the tape and started listening to it. At first we didn't think we had captured anything, but then, plain as day, on top of my sister's voice (while she was talking about the shape of a gravestone) came a breathy female voice that said, "Angie" We both jumped and said, "Did you hear that?!!" And rewound the tape several times to make sure it wasn't us or anything in our environment at the time. There are several "murmurs" too low to understand on the recorder but halfway through the tape, my sister and I were not speaking but just walking and all of a sudden you can hear someone singing a little tune "Do-do-do-do-do" It was a happy little tune. I definitely know my sister and I were NOT singing in the cemetery, so that was not us either. Toward the end of the tape, you can also hear a big breath into the recorder (again, not us, we had the recorder at our sides the entire walk and it doesn't pick up breathing unless you're right against the mic) and then a male voice saying something that sounds like "football" we're not sure if we're misunderstanding or maybe there is a football fan in there..but it was neat! Wish I had the software to filter out the noise on the tape, but I don't. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great! Now we are addicted and plan on visiting a cemetery in my town that has over 185,000 graves. If we don't capture something there, then I will be surprised :) Love your site! Will be revisiting it often.

FOR YEARS I HAVE BEEN FASCINATED BY BY THE PARANORMAL AND SUPERNATURAL SURROUNDINGS THAT ME AND MY FRIENDS LIVE IN, CHECK LAFAYETTE CEMETARY UNDER INVESTIGATIONS. LAFAYETTE CEMETARY IS JUST ON OF THE FEW PLACES AROUND HERE THAT SPOOKS THE CRAP OUT OF ME. SO TO FIND THIS SITE WAS ALMOST LIKE A CHRISTMAS GIFT. ONE BY ONE ME AND MY FRIENDS STARTED CHECKING OFF THE INVESTIGATIONS ONE BY ONE. THE LAST ONE WE HAD GONE TO WAS GHOST BRIDGE. P.S. YOU GUYS SHOULD GIVE DIRECTIONS, WE GOT LOST, LIKE, ALOT. ANYWAYS, SO THERE WE ARE, MIDDLE OF THE BRIDGE, CAR OFF IN THE DISTANCE WITH BABY POWDER ON THE HOOD AND A TAPE RECORDER ON THE ROOF, AND A TAPE RECORDER, NIGHT VISION SETUP, AND A FEW CAMERAS TO SET OUT THE INVESTIGATION OF OUR OWN. AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF NOTHING, I DECIDE WE SHOULD ALL SIT IN A CIRCLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BRIDGE, WE ALL SIT, TAPE RECORDER IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR LIL CIRCLE, AND OUR EYES SHUT. NOTHING, TEN MINUTES, NOTHING. RIGHT AS I REACH FOR THE TAPE RECORDER, CLANG! SOMETHING HIT THE GUARDRAIL BEHIND ME. WE ALL JUMPED UP AND BACKED AWAY, STARING AT THE RAILING. WE CALM DOWN FOR A SECOND, AND CLANG! IT HAPPENED AGAIN. WE ALL PRETTY MUCH RANAS FAST AS WE COULD BACK TO THE CAR. SOMEHOW, I ENDED UP WITH TWO SCRATCH MARKS ON MY LEFT LOWER BACK ABOUT 8 INCHES LONG, AND MY COUSINS NOSE STARTED BLEEDING, WHICH NEVER HAPPENS. SO LATER ON WHILE DRIVING BACK, WE ARE LISTENING TO THE TAPES, AND THAT RECORDER WE LEFT ON THE HOOD, REMEMBER? WELL THAT HAS 7 MINUTES OF SPARATIC AND INCONSISTANT TAPPING SOUNDS ON IT, AS IF ON GLASS. THANK YOU VERY MUCH I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN, BUT KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, AND I URGE EVERYONE TO SEEK OUT THE PARANORMAL SO YOU LIKE ME, CANT SLEEP AT NIGHT.

Mary in Colorado Springs
I grew up as a military brat. My father got station to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1979. I just turned 12 years old then. About 4 months after we move there. My parents bought an old 2 story house that was built in 1908. Now about 3 months living in our new home. Wierd and scarey things had always came to me. never to my older Brother, or my father or my Mother. For two long years i felt i was picked on by the ghosts. I would smell smelly odors at times, feel like someone was watching me now and then, sometimes felt like ive been touched across the back of my neck or arms. Voices that would sound like one of my families now and then, to the ghost it was playing tricks with me. My stero's volume knob would always go up and down ( only happen in the middle of the nights sometimes, for i like music to put me to sleep.)Foot steps walking around during the days or nights, from upstairs only.( my bedroom was upstairs)Also note everything would always happen up stairs. I would awake from my covers sometimes being pulled slowly off of me from the end of my bed. Water running from the up stairs bathroom sink from time to time. Well thiers more folks, but you get the idea. Im 37 years old now, and i will never forget any of it as long as i live. Thanks for reading Mary...

Ok, I have never seen a ghost, but I have heard them and felt them. My mother is the one who sees them. In our house in alabama, after my brother died, my mom saw and heard him drive up in the driveway, get out of the car and come into the house. He walked through the living room into his bedroom and sat on the bed, then rose and crossed over to the bible on his bookcase, placed his hand on it and disappeared. The night after my stepfather died, we were all sitting in the living room and suddenly smelled pipe smoke. My stepfather was the only one that smoked in the house. I recently spent the night in the house when my mom broke her leg and was in the hospital. I also heard someone come in the front door and walk across the living room. Never did see anyone. In the house we moved into in Nashville, there were three ghosts, a little girl who walked the hallway crying. Mom stated she was wearing a white pinafore and a yellow dress, carrying a rag doll. Apparently, I walked right through her on the way to the bathroom. There was also a woman in the bathtub who was calling for Henry. I always figured he was the ghost upstairs who walked around so much. Living in a haunted house never bothered me, but it sure was a lot of fun watching my half-sister get scared out of her wits. I know my spirits would never harm me, they are my guardian angels.

In the old Oprah house, I looked around with my flashlight, and looked at a chair covered in a drop-cloth and saw a little girl sitting cross legged wearing a white dress. We also got pictures of things that we couldnt explain like floating light and faces through the windows. Very exciting and I cant wait for next year! (Central City Tours)

After my father died from pancreatic cancer in 1980, I was staying with my mother in the family home, to help her out and make sure she was going to be all right. During my father's illness, he had lost quite a bit of
weight and was very gaunt. Pancreatic cancer is a "silent killer." It is never discovered until it causes symptoms, and then there is very little that can be done. It was awful seeing my dad wither away in pain, and
his death was a blessing.
So, the night after his memorial service, I was back in my old bedroom trying to get some sleep. It was slow in coming but I think I dozed briefly. All of a sudden, I became aware of a presence outside my window. I became totally awake. It was dark outside but there was a full moon which highlighed the trees in our front yard. I sat up, and there he
was! My dad! And he was back to his old, healthy self. He was wearing one of the lab jackets (he had been an x-ray tech) we all used to make fun of (brown checks; extremely ugly), and he was facing me while standing on the lawn. He was smiling. As I watched, spellbound, he raised his hand into a wave and I knew he was saying goodbye to me. He backed slowly away from my window, waving and smiling, and then, at the sidewalk, simply disappeared.
I know many folks will think that this was a "waking dream" or some kind of fugue state. I know for a fact that it wasn't. I was completely awake and aware of my surroundings. I was not on medications like my mother was (she was so distraught she had to be sedated.) I know that
one minute I was dozing and the next minute when I sensed my dad's presence I was wide awake.
It was a real turning point in my belief about death and what lies
beyond! Since that time, I do not fear death: it is only a transition. The gift my father gave me that night was priceless, and I know I will see him again.
So that's my one and only ghost story!

From 1990 to 1995 I was working in Central City in the building that was known at that time as the Golden Rose Casino. I had heard 'ghost' stories from employees of other casinos as well as from local residents, but I was skeptic. Until one evening I was working the swing shift, 6pm to 2am. At approximately 1am, I walked to the top floor of the building to help some customers. After I finished helping the customers, I went to use the restroom. While standing at the urinal, I heard someone whistling with the music that was playing over the p.a. system. I assumed that someone had walked into the restroom behind me and payed no attention to it. Now, the size of this restroom was the size of a small walk-in closet. It had one urinal, one toilet and a sink. As I walked to the sink to wash my hands, I casually looked around to see if there was anyone in the room with me. There was no one. I was really wondering if I was hearing things. As I pushed open the restroom door, the whistling stopped. I walked out of the restroom and noticed that everyone was looking at me. I immediately asked everyone if they heard whistling. The few people that were there said they thought it was me. I said nope, it wasn't me. I became a believer after that experience. There were a few more experiences that happened. Maybe I'll share them later.

Irene in Colorado Springs, CO
Once moving to Colorado 1990, my husband and I had rented a house located off Galley Road until having own home built three years later. While renting, we all (husband, daughter, and myself) shared a recurring, perhaps paranormal activity, and I alone experienced a sighting.
The shared/recurring activity was actually quite pleasant. Every night we would all feel the kneading of a cat on our beds. Having two felines of our own, we naturally thought nothing of this kneading...that is until we noticed that our cats had absolutely nothing to do with it...in fact they were nowhere in sight! Finding this all quite amusing, we warmly welcomed/accepted what we called "the ghost cat."
The lone sighting was quite an eye-opener for me, personally. To this day I am still unsure of what I had exactly seen. I certainly do not believe I had seen a ghost (one who has not gone to the light). This entity had a very welcoming/peaceful feeling.
One evening I was awakened by the whimpering of a new puppy we had recently purchased. We kept the pup in the garage during the night (until he was fully house broken), and I had gotten out of bed to calm him down. Once accomplished, I started to head back up to bed, but elected to lay down on the sofa instead. Almost immediately I felt as it I weren't alone in the room. I opened my eyes and saw what looked like a child or small woman standing in front of me, about 5 to 6 feet away. Her back was toward me. She had long wavy hair, wore a flowing robe, and was surrounded by a milky blue hue. Her form was translucent ... it had "some" substance.
Initially I had thought this figure was my daughter, and I was about to ask what she was doing out of bed; however, it quickly became apparent that this was, in fact, NOT my daughter! I sat straight up on the sofa, kept my eyes on the figure, and then proceeded to touch my eyeballs, ensuring that I was, indeed, awake! Confirming my consciousness, I then felt confused as to what I was experiencing. Almost immediately a feeling of calmness came over me, and I found myself beginning to lay back down on the sofa. All the while I kept my eyes on the figure, and then, against my will, my eyes started to close. Fighting back, I did manage to reach out my arm and reopen my eyes in an instance once they closed, but alas the figure had disappeared.
I sat up on the sofa after this sighting, again quite confused. I started to try and make some sort of sense out of my experience, but could not. Soon afterwards fear took over, I ran upstairs, woke my husband, and told him of the experience. Thank goodness he and I both shared the recurring visit from the "ghost cat," otherwise I'm sure he would have believe me to be crazy!
After that lone experience, I've had several other unexplained things happened to me over the years, but none quite as "in your face" as that visit from the blue light entity.
Someone had bought that home we rented all those years ago. I sometimes wonder if the owners have had any bed kneading going on, or if, perhaps, they've seen anything out of the ordinary. It would be so very cool to find out...to have a validation.

I Just recently found this sight and I am glad to hear that everyone else has had experiences with their own personal ghosts. The Thing is when I say personal ghost I mean this spirit has many physical and mental dealings with me. I'll start by saying that when I moved into this apartment I would only hear things such as, I always keep every door in my house closed just one of those little quirks people have, anyways I would hear doors opening slightly then closing back at first I thought this was interesting but now as time has passed this spirit has become much more bold and aggresive. There are times where I will hear a door start to open and it won't shut so I'll go to close it and I will start to feel something pushing back on it and i mean with great force. It feels as if there is a 300 pound sumo wrestler on the other end. When this happens I become very terrified. This spirit seems angry to me. There have also been times when objects have been thrown at me from across the room. If I weren't in my current financial situation i would leave but lack of money keeps that from happening. I am feeling like i'm crazy maybe but after reading everyone elses stories i don't feel so bad anymore but still very terrified of my ghost.

Well... I have sence moved from colroado, but i lived there for about 4 years with my family, And we moved there from Californa, Anyway, i was just looking up places on line about haunted places, paticularly Colorado, because while i lived there ( and have sence come back on visets) The City of Denver and places around there Sometimes just gave me some really, aquard vibes. Anyway, theres a few places i personally can say were haunted, two of witch wanted to Sort of just be left alone, but well as they say, curiosity killed the cat. Anyway, one is where the old feild behind Union station, At the time i was homeless, ( this was a few years back ) and my friend knew of a place out in the fild that was underground with a steam pipe that ran through the center of this. Well, it was warm and nice so we slept there, tho the feild itself seemed rather uneasy, but it was erly winter so i wasnt complaning. Anyway i woke up in the middle of the night to a feeling like someones face was inches from mine, almost noes touching, it felt like they were checking me out, almost as if to see if i was harmfull to it or not, befor i could poke my friend to point it out, the feeling left, and i just sort of went back to sleep, ive sence slept in the place afterwards and it was just fine. Tho unfortunetly now they have turnd it into a light rail sation and parking :( and ive heard a few rumors about this felid, and befor they remade it, it was where the homeless people were found murderd with there heads cut off to. Dunno if this adds to the spook factor or not, but it deffantly had something there. Anyway the next place was a little bit aways from here, down by the Plat river. it was the old abandon silos, and befor they renovated it and turnd it into lofts, alot of the homeless would sleep in here. if i can rember right it had 8 storys, and a basement ( everyone tryed to stay as far away from the basement as possible. ) The floors all had holes from the machinery that was from the old Silo, and an old unworking elevator shaft. i never slept in there, but i did viset a couple times befor the change to it, And almost anyone i talked to that did sleep there had really restless, uneasy sleep.( tho they were homeless and it was indoors, Go figure) But anyway, From the Storys ive gatherd just from word of mouth of the place, befor they stopped using it, alot of workers died from the machinery falling on them. Then afterwards cults or people who thought they knew how to "cast spells" would go there into the basement and do things.. causing possible portals or whatever to be opend, as well as jsut making the ground hatefilled. The few timesi went, weve stood at the ground level and tossed road flairs, flash lights, ciggarets, buring paper, whatever would light or make a sound once it hit down into the holes that opend to the basement, And everything dissaperd, without a sound. As well as i saw a pic my friend took of her stadign near a hole on the ground level, And there were what seemed to be ghastly, clawed like fingers pulling up from the hole... Wish i could scann the pic to show you, ish Creepy. Anyway, i feel sorry for whoever lives in thos lofts! hehe, moving along, theres a spot by the Plat river down where you can get into the swears of denver, and me and three of my friends all went down there, armed with candles and a 24 hour battry sun light flashlight. the flashlight was fully charged, and we were making good progress ( tho i will say its messy, you actully have to tred into ankle deep water) When the flashlight dimmed and finally started to cut out. We busted out the candles and treked farther in. i couldnt tell you how long or how deep we were, but we finly got to a part where we had to crawl through a tunnle, then it opend up into a room type place it seemed, tho it was still leading further back. needless to say the place had a table that looked as if it was used for some unspeekable things and the walls were coverd in rusty red looking stains. we quickly high tailed it the heack outta there. And the place deffantly was disturbed, and probably haunted, tho the few times ive gone back i was to chicken to venture back in by myself. the one time i was going to take my boy friend at the time, we got about half way into the tunnle befor the sun light from the opening faded, and fog started to billow from the bend where it went dark, my boy friend and i both got chills and he felt it was best we left. the last place that comes right to my mind is this place you could get to by taking the bus 100 heading away from the westminster mall. i cant rember street names, just the bus rout >

In my cousin's house they were told two people had died where her house stands. Also her grandmother died in her house. We were curious about taking pictures and seeing if we could see any ghost and well in certain area's our camera would not snap and in other places my cousin talked and said something along the lines of hey we don't wanna hurt you we just wanna see you and then our camera would take ..we'll we went looking through the pictures and there is two that we put on the computer and took a closer look and sure enough someone was standing there in her bathroom and some people were moving through the bedroom , like going through the walls. We seen a head going through her bedroom wall. I am still kinda scared to go to her house and stay all night.

I was about 11 yrs old at the time I was living with my grandma. I've always been a night person so when my bed time rolled around I was always wide awake and looking around. It started off as just a dark black cloud floating towards me but I just blew it off thinking there was just something in my eye so I would blink a couple times and it would be gone. Then it moved into my pillow being moved out from under me while I slept so when I would wake up it would be at the other end of the house. I thought hmm I never sleep walk may be I do and didn't know it. Slowly the more I explained it away it got more violent more scary. The turning point happened when one night the room was colder than normal the room was always so cold that even in summer I could see my breath. I was laying there awake listening to my grandma's T.V when all of my covers which were always piled high got ripped from me out of my hands completely. I was so scared I couldn't scream I couldn't breath it was like I had no free will at all. If I would have known that was nothing I would never have slept in that room again. But alas, I had seen nothing yet. I was laying there with my eyes closed trying to talk myself into falling asleep, my bed was pushed against the wall mind you, when I heard on the side of the bed where I, at 11 couldn't fit, a male voice too rough to be my granpa too mean say "Wake up, wake up" I knew I was wide awake because I kept thinking there is absolutely no way I am going to open my eyes absolutely no way in Hades. I laid there for an hour my eyes squeezed so tight my eyes hurt. Finally, after I considered it safe to run I did now I'm not ashamed to say that at the wise age of 11 I spent the rest of the night with my grandma and several after until I changed rooms.

I'm usually a pretty even-minded person and don't believe in paranormal activity. But I'm really chalking it up in my head when I say this was anything but paranormal. It was about an hour or two after I had gone to bed in my apartment, which is a very old Victorian ball-room studio probably dating back to 1905 or 1906, and since this is January 17, 2005, it might've been quite close to its 100th anniversary. Anyway, after waking up at about 3 AM for no reason inparticular, I saw a strange wisp through the bamboo curtains shielding my bedroom from the rest of the apartment. Being the kind of person I am, I quietly walked out of my bed and peeked out of the shades. I saw an apparition. It did not scare me, but it rose the hair on the back of my neck. I didn't know what it was, but it took the form of a man hanging by his neck. I ran back to bed and tried to awaken my father, but he would not move or demonstrate any signs of life. The day after that, my best friend's brother died. Do you think the two had any relevancy?

About 5 years ago my grandma had passed away and i was only ten at the time, my grandma had got hepatitis B and died very quick i remember the night we were at the hospital when the doctor told our entire family my grandma was dieing. My mom and and a few of my cousins went home shortly after this occured but my grandma was still alive when we left , that night when i was laying in my bed around 2 am i suddenly woke up and heard my grandmas voice telling me everything going to be ok and something else but to this day i can not remember what it was, ive also had several instances where my grandmas picture would suddenly fall off the shelf. I also live in my grandpa and grandma's house and ever now and then oddd things would happen like, u can here someone walking around when no ones home or a jwerly box with music will start all by its self

Hi, Im Audrey and Im 14 yrs old. Ever since I was really little Ive been interested in the paranormal. Even as just a baby I remember always feeling like something was watching me all the time. We have moved a couple of times and " ghosts " have followed me everyehere I go. Now at my new house, every night a boy comes into my room and says, " wake up Grandpas here " and waits for me to get up. He takes me into our living room and we walk in and his Grandpa is sitting on our green couch. He looks at me and then falls over dead the boy cries, and then dissapears. I always tell the boy, it will be okay but he just ignores me. I go back to bed and thats that. The boy also asks me to play with him, but the only time I can ever see him is at night. Ill have a friend over and he'll tap on my shoulder and says "come play". My friends can here him so I know Im not crazy, if i dont come play he gets mad and starts yelling at my friend to go away. Most of the time my friends leave because they are scared. When I went on a date with my new boyfriend to the movies, I could feel that he was with us. He started to say, "why is he here", and started to get very angry and threw my boyfriends popcorn all over the theater, he ran out and I havent heard from him since. Ive started to get tired of the happening at night and the meanness to my friends, Every day I tell the boy to leave me alone, but he just says " No, this is my house " I did some research and I found out that a little boy and his dad and grandfather had lived at my house, the dad ran off with a woman when the boy was 5 years old now it was just him and his Grandpa. His grandpa was a hunter and was out camping all the time, one day his grandpa came home from hunting, sat down on the couch and had a stroke. I realized that this is why this was happening. I realized the boy just needed a friend. Now the boy and I play with eachother every day, and now that he is happy the night haunt has stopped. We have grown a friendship and now even my friends are his friends. Sometimes, the undead just need a little love.

Well somtimes it feels like someone or "somthing" is stalking me and wathing my every move. But thats not what this story is about. One night I had a friend over and we were sleeping in the living room when... we could see lights going ON and OFF ON and OFF then sudenly we heard voices and foot steps. Then me and my friend went in the kitchen and there were people stareing at us then we heard music. Then what happend next was the lights went OFF for about a minute then came back ON! And all that was left was a BIG puff of smoke and it all floated away. A couple nights after that my friend came over agin with a camra and then about 3:35 in the morning we caght some of the people on tape and filmd the room full of smoke. When we wathed it in the morning the people were just *bluurs* and the smoke was just a little cloud of fog.

We moved into our first house as a single family ( my mother, my little sister and myself). We of course called dibs on the basement bedrooms ( as far away from my mother as we could get!) The downstairs spread throughout the size of the house and was a good size. i noticed immediatly though that all the rooms had locks on the OUTSIDE of the doors. This gave me the creeps as it were. And throughout our 5 years living there, I would never go into the basement with no light on ( i always got the creeps) and there would be oily hand prints appearing out of nowhere ( no chidlren small enough ever came into our home to leave them) on the wooden paneling. I had a friend stay over with her bf one night, and they got into a huge arguement and stormed out of the room. when they came back, the small handprints were all up and down the walls right up to the ceiling, they left shortly thereafter. We also had a golden chair we placed in front of the most evidant hand print ( firs tthing you saw when you came downstairs so we covered it with the chair) and the chair was always pushed a foot away from it when we would go down there, with no reasoning for its movement.

I moved into a rental house in unimcorporated Adams County (North Denver) in 1996. According to some acquaintances of ours who lived there before us, the small brick shotgun style cabin was built in 1861 and belonged to the original rancher of that property. Nothing unusual happened at first, but the following spring I was hanging clothes on the line outside between the hpuse and the garage and I felt like I was being watched, I was the only one home at the time, I peeked around the laundry line and right in front of the garage stood a young man in overalls and a long sleeve shirt, he was looking in my direction, but his eyes were glowing a goldish orange color. I freaked and said out loud "Oh God, please go away"...he did. Since then, I noticed alot of activity throughout the 6 years I lived there. There was a woman in a long pink gown from the late 1800's who would occasionally walk through the house and vanish, sometimes you could only hear the rustle of her skirt. i was talking to a friend on the phone once and told her about the woman, she asked me what her name was, and I responded with "How would I know that?" She said to ask her, at that moment I heard a woman whisper in my ear "Catherine". I have many more experiences, but I'll end here for now.

A couple friends and I went to the ridehome in Arvada about a year or so ago and we walked in and right away I started to get all these weird feelings. I walked into on of the rooms which belonged to a little girl and there was writing all over the walls. My friends went into a room across from the one I was in and I had a flashlight so I was ok but then the door slammed and this old tv that was an a stand fell and broke. I shinned my light around and saw a little girl with brown hair touching the wall and she was singing the words that were on the wall. None of my friends could get in but they kept pounding on the door finally it unlocked and she walked right through the wall and told me that it wasn't the last time I was going to see her. As soon as that happened I would get these weird feelings. My friend's mom is like some kind of a physic so she did this crystal thing that moves to answer your questions and sure enough the little girl followed me around for awhile. It wasn't tell about 2 months ago that I quit hearing to song and feeling her around me!!

First, I'd like to say that I'm not exactly the type of person to make fantastic claims or blow things out of porportion. I'm usually a pretty level headed person. With that said, I'd like to relate something I find odd that's been happening to me since I was about 18 yrs old. I keep feeling a presence around me, definately male and I've seen what I know of his physcial traits appear in other people, often people that get close to me. He has longer brownish colored hair, blue eyes and is a little scruffy looking, of a medium build but strong looking. I've moved around a bit and he's always there, even out of state and back. I know that sounds odd, but it's almost like, when I see it, it's usually the eyes and I know he's looking at me. Other times it can be the back of someone's head that strikes me, or when someone grabs my hand or arm. It never feels ominous or fearful, more of a "desire" if you will, to be near me, touch me, that sort of thing. I've had dreams about him as well, it's very strange indeed, as I have never seen him before that I know of. In my dreams we sit and talk or go on walks in the forest. I just feel like he is always near by, so I can relax, weird huh? lol Oh well, I just wanted to relate.

When I was about 7 or 8 I was at my Grandma's house I was being a brat so I got a "timeout" I had to go to sleep...So I went in to my Grandma's room. She had this picture of a Saint...{we are a mexican family...so they believe that Saints protect us}...Anyway the Saint's name is the Virgen de Guadalupe...Anyway in the picture she has 2 little children by herside...My grandma says she protects kids....Back to my story....I went to lay in my grandma's bed but right before I feel asleep the Saint talked to me...She said that "Everyone is very upset by the way you are acting, I want you to go to sleep and when you wake up I want you to behave yourself." UMMMM i dont know about most kids but I jumped the heck off the bed and ran out the room and told my Gram's what happen & she said to listen to Guadalupe she knows what shes talking about. I wouldnt go into her room after that! Still to this day my Gram's has that picture and I will not walk by it!!!

I was about 18 or 19 when this happened...I was living in this apartment with my best friend at the time...anyway....My friend Dannette was on the phone with her mom and they were aruging about this and that...well when she hung up the phone she turned to look at me because I asked if she was ok....when she turned to look she had this evil looking face and her EYES WERE GLOWING!!! She had the most beautiful blue eyes but when she was upset this day they were filled with hate! She just turned and walked away with out even talking....which was ok with me because I was a lil scared! Well she calmed down and I asked her again if she was ok...and she was like yeah..then I told her about her eyes and she told me that her mom used to tell her the same thing when ever she'd get upset!
That's not the only story I have with Dannette and myself...we went to her house one day after school and her mom had these little hatchet looking things hanging on the wall...we went to walk passed to go to the kitchen and they flew off the wall at was! We were like HOLY CRAP!! After we calmed down...we ordered pizza and were sitting on the couch eating...all of the sudden we started to get bumped on the butt...from the underside of the couch! We jumped up and ran up the stairs to her room to talk about what had just happened and to laugh at ourselves! Well when we got back downstairs our pizza was GONE! I guess they were just hungry~ LOL Thnx for reading my stories....I have many many more!

A friend of mine once showed me an old empty building downtown. The building was marked like a cynagog (think thats right)with ornate stars of david and manorahs in the brick. As we observed the building from the outside I noticed strange figures drawn in the dust on the windows they were in the likeness of little devils, all of them crooked, but all identical. We took some pics with a digital, and saw atleast two images like faces looking out from the windows on the 2nd level I flipped open the mail slot in the front of the building, a cold air escaped across my hand as i stuck my camera in the mail slot. These pics revieled several floating orbs. Though we could not enter to investigate I doubt they're refletions because in a series of three pics they move eventually out of frame. For no logical reason our camera (which had full batery) turned off and wouldn't turn back on. As we got in the car to leave it was reluctant to start. Once it started we were able to leave and I was able to turn the camera back on. The odd thing with that was this car was 6 months old and never had that problem prior to that nor had one since.

This one time me and my friend were at her grandmas and when we were there was a old tralier.Every body said it was haunted.then one day we went to that trailer to reallt see if it was haunted and when we got in there we saw a vase with real dirt and we also saw a tv thaT TURNED ON AND off.it scared us really bad.so we went to a different room.when we did we saw a long mirror on the roof.so me and my friend walk right under it and looked up.when we looked up we saw a little girl standing right behind us.she was wearing all white.so then we looked back and she wasnt there.we ran into the bathroom right after we looked back.when we ran into the bathroom we looked out the window and saw her run right past it.so then after she ran past the window we ran back to my grandmas.
like a month later we came back to my grandmas and then to the trailer.when we went to the trailer the first time there was no car there but when we came back there was a old shevy with no engine in it so we desided to get in the car and get the keys out of it and when we did we ran back to my house.that night we couldnt sleep because we kept hearing"give back the keys, give back the Keys" it scared us so bad.we heard that sound for more then 1 month because we never gave the keys back because we thought it was just our minds playing tricks on us.
then we came back to my grandmas house for the third time and when we did we were planing to give back the keys but when we went to the trailer the o0ld shevy wasnt there.so we disided to go in the house again and put them in the living room.when we walked in the house we saw that the vase full of roses was broken on the floor, that the soil was put in a circle and that the flowers were put right in the middle of the soil.We ran right out of the house and threw the keys in a field.when we got back to the house we thought it was all over.but when we got into my room the keys were on my night stand.we never came back since that day.
and this is a real story

In the 1970's I lived in a house in West Los Angeles. There was a high amount of paranormal activity especially at night. I would see little dark figures walking around in my room at night , and I was too scared to even move. Sometime I would hear a growl like sound coming from outside my bedroom window, a growl unlike any I have ever heard in my life. One time when I went to reach for my bedroom door handle I watched it materialize into a small hatchet and then turn back to a door handle. I wasnt the only one who experienced this same phenomena my older brother did too. We eventually moved out of this house and havent been bothered since. But the memories of this still haunts me till this day.

Just a short story about what I experienced that the Hotel Jerome in Aspen this past weekend. My girlfriend and I decided to catch the last weekend of skiing in Aspen and because the season was winding up we decided to take advantage of the end of the season deals and stayed at the Hotel Jerome. Great place, very historic and not a lot of people staying there. On the the experience. As we were walking the halls my girlfriend was getting creepy feelings like we were being watched. I will admit that I did not feel anything and I told her not to worry about it because it is an old place. When we got back to the room we were getting ready to go and have dinner and as I was sitting in the chair it felt as if someone was walking on the floor next to me. I did not think much of but it did it again and had to ask my girlfriend if she was actually walking behind me. She was in the bathroom the whole time and thought I was crazy until she was sitting on the ottoman and felt the same thing. We were trying to figure out what it could have been and it happened again. This time instead of feel just the vibration you could actually feel the carpet depress next to my foot!!!
The next morning my girlfriend told me that after we had both fallen asleep my girlfriend woke up and saw something moving in the room and thought it was me. She soon realized that I was out cold in the bed. Not really sure how this story matches up with other experiences people have but it is the first time something like that has happened to me and I wanted to share what I experienced. Thanks for letting me share. |
