Help Request:
After submitting a help request you will receive a response from someone on our team, please understand that the time of year has a lot to do with how quickly you will receive a response, but will typically not take longer than 72 hours. If an investigation is requested, the next step would be what we refer to as a prelim. Prelim: A prelim is typically held at the location of the possible investigation. The purpose of the prelim is for our interviewers to evaluate the situation and the surroundings. This will greatly help us to plan the investigation. (i.e. we wouldn't need 8 investigators for an 800 sq ft residence, nor would we want to send only 4 investigators to cover an investigation the size of the Stanley Hotel for instance). During this meeting the interviewer will have questions; some will be of a personal nature. All information is ALWAYS confidential, never shared except with the express approval from the client. Basically we want to compile as much info as possible, and work with you, and the family on the next steps, deciding together "where we go from here". Investigation: An investigation will be scheduled with both parties agreeing to date and time. The investigators will arrive around the agreed time. The first hour approximately is setup - hauling in the equipment, and setting up the equipment. After setup is complete, this is when we "Go dark" turning out the lights and "Quiet" turning off any stereo, radio, TV... Many clients ask us if they should stay or go somewhere else during an investigation - this choice is completely up to you, we have clients that stay, and others that have left. If there seems to be "an attachment" to someone in particular, than in this situation we may request they remain there. Bottom line, it's your home/business, so it's your comfort level. However limiting the total amount of people there is also important, as the more people the less controlled the environment is, and this will directly impact our ability to obtain evidence. Evidence: The time it takes to review, and compile evidence will also vary depending on the time of year. The lead investigator will give you an ETA, for receiving your report, during the investigation. |
