Eva's Biography
My first of many paranormal experiences began when I was about 6 years old. I was talking to my great aunt who was sitting in my rocking chair of my family home in Boulder, CO. My father came to the door of my room and asked me, "Who are you talking to, Eva?" I turned to him and said, "Aunt..." Before I could finish the sentence, she had disappeared from the rocking chair. About 20 minutes later, we received a phone call from Oklahoma which our relatives told us, our beloved Aunt Sadie had passed away. The saddest event, I remember from my childhood, was the summer before I went to Jr. High School. I am the youngest and have three brothers and often spent time playing by myself. My two friends, who played with me, a little girl and older boy about 12, told me they could no longer play with me because I was getting too old to play with them and was going to have to focus on school. Thus, I began the horrible journey of being nerdy and awkward in Jr. High School, without my two dear friends. Who I now strongly believe were spirits. Since then there have been many times I can recall about my psychic side while growing up a rebellious teenager to get rid of the nerdy awkwardness and much to the chagrin of my poor parents, I went through many phases! Though, occasionally I still see full bodied apparitions walking around at unexpected moments and pick up on lot "stuff"; I tend to lean towards only wanting the scientific proof of ghost hunting. Because of the American Indian and Welsh ancestry in my family, I began reading about legends of ghosts and lore about the two ethnicities. I also studied the spiritual aspects of the American Indians and Celts. In my late 20's I had many friends come to me to "rid" their houses of ghosts; after having two unnerving experiences which I conducted alone; I decided I had better try to find a person or a group who was more knowledgeable in the paranormal than I to help me better understand what I was experiencing. After a few years of searching for the right "fit" it was finally, 2005, when I found the T.A.P.S website quite by accident which linked to ParaFPI in Colorado. I contacted the group immediately, thus, here I am! Oh yeah, because Jr. High School was so traumatic for me, I've decided to change the direction of my many, many changing degrees which surely add up to a BA or perhaps MA by now, and I've decided to study to become a Jr. High School English teacher. My bravest or dumbest endeavor yet!
