Case 720 - Elmwood Cemetery

Type: Full Investigation
City: Brighton
Driving: Paved roads, near highway
Permissions: Open To Public (Obey gate hours)
ParaFPI Status: Multiple Visits
Case Status: Open

Elmwood Cemetery was established in 1896 as a private venture. In the early 1950s the City of Brighton took over all operations for the cemetery. There were various and subtle stories around this one. The basics of the myth was that you could feel the eyes on you everywhere you went in here and reports of strange voices in the trees.

This one was found by accident, but we were all pleasantly surprised with the results of the investigation. Reading about some of the stories, but with no name or street to go off of, we thought we would probably not find it. Visually, we saw lights moving in and out of the trees and low bushes. Cold spots kept popping up.
EMF readings jumped from 1 - 44 in different spots around the cemetery
Temperature readings jumped from 37 degrees to 78 degrees
This was one of those great surprises ... we didn't expect to see, feel and capture as much a we did, but glad we did.

I believe this one should be added to the list that most investigators go for ... great for new investigators and ghost hunters. It's surrounded by homes, so you want to keep your noise level at a minimum if you allow conversation during investigation. This is one of those places that doesn't look like much, but will eventually pay off with patience. Do try to keep all interference with the neighbors down to a minimum. It's a nice quiet little area.
